[whitespace] One Card Monte

By Mark Ewert

Yo, card-dude,
Sex and relationships and dating have all gotten completely out of hand for me. One minute I'm pathetic and needy, the next minute I'm disgusted and standoffish. To balance myself out, I want to try being celibate for awhile, no dates or sex. Not forever, just for a little bit. What do you think?
Stephen M.

Steve baby,
It's not what I think, it's what do the cards think, and the cards think:

The King of Wands. This represents a man who's got a firm grasp on his libidinal powers (you don't need Freud to tell you what an erect wand looks like) but is not running around like someone going postal in order to use them. No, he's cool, calm and collected, at peace on his throne. Wands are connected with passion and energy of all kinds, creative as well as sexual. By taking a self-chosen timeout, you can cool your jets, get grounded, scan the horizon and store up the juice for what you really want. Besides, I bet you look really cute in a chador.
