Dinner and a Show By Alyssa Nitchun Teatro ZinZanni runs through May at Le Palais Nostalgique, Pier 27/29, the Embarcadero. Tickets are $125. Wednesday-Saturday, doors open at 6:30pm, dinner/performances 7:30pm; Sunday, doors open at 5:30pm, dinner/performance 6:30pm. Call 415.438.2668. Teatro ZinZanni is the perfect excuse to break out that new gown or pair of spats. Fantastical dress is encouraged, from boas to platforms to haute couture. Women and men with flowers in their hair and swinging 1920s style abound. The experience is coming from a sold-out run in Seattle and, it seems it will repeat that achievement in San Francisco. The Teatro ZinZanni performers may be wacky, misfit artists, but the clientele is definitely not. By the end even the stiffest are cutting loose. Unfortunately, the price of Teatro ZinZanni precludes the starving artist who might actually gain the most inspiration from the event. Still, ZinZanni is worth saving up for.
