Sitting Pretty More than almost any other activity, bathroom time requires advance planning if it is to be more than merely biological. To turn the smallest room in the house into a reading room, choose a piece of furniture that can be placed within arm's reach of the toilet stool--low enough to be comfortable for use and large enough to hold a variety of items. Newspapers and magazines should be regularly and selectively cycled. Books should be short-story collections. Keep a stack of pencils and a couple of notepads for jotting down ideas.
