EXPRESSIVE STRINGS: Livia Sohn makes her violin sing for Stanford Lively Arts.
Opera Fantasies
By Michael S. Gant
THE HUMAN voice isn't the only vessel for great opera arias; sometimes, the violin can "sing." Too. Such is the premise of violinist Livia Sohn's Lively Arts concert. The Stanford faculty member will perform a wide variety of opera themes plucked from 200 years of possibilities.
OPERA FANTASIES with LIVIA SOHN will be performed Sunday (Feb. 15) at 2:30pm at Dinkelspiel Auditorium, Stanford. Tickets are $19–$34. (650.725.ARTS)
